Susie K Brooks, I am a wife, mother of two, friend, and therapist. My first encounter with therapy (NLP) was the bestselling book, 'Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway' by Susan Jeffers, way back in the 1980's.
That book was life changing as I realised this was just how I wanted to spend my life, being brave, feeling fear and just doing it.
I had always been interested in Psychology and NLP and much of my early sales training was NLP and coaching based. I preferred a gentle professional approach over the Anthony Robbins hyped up, fast paced walking on coals, and over the years I coached and used my NLP skills to help friends, and aquaintances but never became a professional.
I had also been to see therapists since the mid 80's to overcome issues that had built up during my life, starting from my parents divorce when I was only three.
I help people who are experiencing a wide range of challenges and issues, including PTSD and Complex PTSD, anxiety and panic attacks, the mental repercussions of physical attacks, sexual abuse, rape, and other crime; eating disorders; addictions including alcohol, drugs, and shopping; agrophobia and claustrophobia; feelings of regret, remorse, guilt, and shame; bereavement; physically and psychologically abusive relationships; fears; and fear of the unknown and the future. In short, anything that creates mental and emotional challenges to us all.
I look forward to welcoming you and using the wide range of skills I now have at my fingertips.
As my son says "Mum, you are amazing, you save the planet one person at a time"
Thank you Rupert!
